Job summary

Azenta UK, Ltd. is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our on-site manufacturing team in Wotton, Surrey.

You will drive defect prevention, resolve issues in the Quality Management System, and support new product introductions with a focus on Lean processes and quality control. The role requires a scientific or engineering degree, experience in pharma/biotech/medical devices, and proficiency with 5 Why and Fishbone analysis, 8D, FMEA, and SPC.

Qualifications

• Degree in science or engineering with relevant manufacturing quality experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer-raised product quality issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Lead problem-solving sessions using 8D/5 Whys/Fishbone/FMEA/SPC.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and optimize processes.
• Monitor and update the Quality Dashboard with KPIs such as Defects Per Unit.
• Lead on quality control practices and Lean methodologies.
• Support the introduction of new products ensuring build robustness and reliability.
