Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Quality Engineer in Huddersfield to join a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader. The role focuses on maintaining ISO 9001:2015 compliance, supporting cross-functional teams, and leading quality investigations.

The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing, the ability to read GD&T, and a willingness to travel within the UK and overseas. Apprentice trained or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Engineer within engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand detailed mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Willingness to travel UK and overseas with a full clean licence.
• Apprentice trained or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ISO 9001:2015 QMS ensuring compliance with standards.
• Provide quality assurance support within cross-functional teams.
• Plan and conduct internal audits aligned with ISO and AQAP standards.
• Manage non-conformances and supplier defects in SAP, ensuring CAPA.
• Lead investigations into defects and complaints using 8D/5 Whys.
• Oversee quality documentation, inspections and validation activities.
• Monitor quality performance and drive continuous improvement.
