Job description

Quality Engineer - HNC/HND Certified

6 months contract

Inside of IR35

£30 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Engineer to join the Non Conformance team, providing support to the Manufacturing teams in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Frontline management of non-conformance issues, supporting manufacturing functions, including administration of non-conformities and containment activities.
2. Collation and analysis of non-conformance data using business tools like Google NLP, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, including implementing and verifying permanent corrective actions.
3. Compiling business KPIs for communication at all levels.
4. Analyzing data related to CQN (Rework/Scrap), returns, and yields.
5. Facilitating practical problem-solving activities, determining root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions using relevant quality tools.
6. Supporting the transfer of new products into manufacturing by analyzing historical data and applying lessons learned.

Requirements:

1. Ideally qualified to minimum HNC/HND in a relevant subject or with relevant work experience.
2. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify trends and drive improvements.
3. Confidence and ability to report to all levels of the business.
4. Strong practical problem-solving skills, capable of leading and facilitating improvement activities.
