Job description

Job title: Quality Engineer - BMS ( (Edgewing)

Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: £39,745+

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the deployment and configuration of the Business Management System
  • Support requirements relating to certification activities in support of the Business Assurance and Certification Team
  • Have the ability to analyse data effectively identifying themes, trends and improvements
  • Provide support to functions with Business Management System queries and problem resolution
  • Champion the principles of the Business Management System including user training.
  • Support the business in determining process effectiveness measures.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of managing a business management toolset (Proquis, Aris, GBTech or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge/education of Quality (AS9100, quality standards, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of process definition and mapping BPMN 2.0
  • Effective stakeholder management with the ability to advise and influence wider function stakeholders and quality director

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge/education of Quality (AS9100, quality standards, etc.
  • Quality Internal audit training or equivalent
  • Adequate knowledge of how a Business Management System operates
  • Hard Skills: Microsoft office; Interpreting data; Troubleshooting; Project management; Data Analysis; Diagnostics; Content creation; Presentation skills; Technical writing; Auditing; Data presentation; Systems administration; Action management; stakeholder management
