MacTaggart Scott is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead APQP implementation, PFMEA, MSA, and PPAP while maintaining high quality standards. You will support product design, process development, and continuous improvement across projects in the naval defence sector.

The role emphasizes independent work with minimum supervision, strong technical quality management skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with APQP and core tools PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans and PPAP.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• APQP Development: support and develop APQP plans and ensure quality activities meet business needs.
• Product Design & Process Support: guidance on design and manufacturing processes, PFMEA/MSA/Control Plans/PPAP.
• Internal Audits: conduct audits and address non-conformances.
• Quality Communication: report quality risks, issues and performance to project teams.
• Continuous Improvement: lead process improvement reviews across the business.
• Contractual & Compliance Support: review quality requirements and support audits and reviews.
• Customer Interface: build relationships with customers and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Training: assist in training and mentoring junior staff in Quality.
• Health & Safety: support health, safety and quality plans and policies.
