Job Description

Are you passionate about exceeding customer requirements? We seek an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality management systems within a small team. You will play a key role in achieving quality objectives and maintaining customer satisfaction.

This role involves supporting the QHSE Manager on Quality Assurance matters for procurement and project delivery, including supplier quality assurance and identifying improvement areas. Some UK and European travel may be required. You will help ensure product and process integrity to meet business, customer, statutory, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead project quality activities and foster a positive quality, safety, and environmental culture;
  • Engage with clients and suppliers on quality issues;
  • Investigate quality concerns promptly and effectively;
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, and support certification audits;
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports and manage PPAPs;
  • Lead structured 8D problem-solving activities using RCA tools;
  • Work with the QHSE Manager to maintain and improve the management system;
  • Review drawings, engage suppliers, and collaborate cross-functionally;
  • Maintain a practical, calm approach under pressure;
  • Provide quality assurance support during rapid growth periods.

Qualifications / skills required

  • Degree in Engineering or a related Quality discipline;
  • Qualified Lead Auditor for ISO9001; 14001 and 45001 are highly desirable;
  • Experience with APQP and PPAP is advantageous;
  • Previous manufacturing experience;
  • Strong communication skills.
