Quality Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (39 hours per week)
Salary: £40,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Quality Engineer to join a leading company in Wolverhampton, a trusted 1st tier supplier to the automotive industry. If you have experience in a similar environment, this could be the perfect next step in your career!


Role Overview:

As a Quality Engineer, you'll report directly to the Quality Manager and collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Writing work instructions for both new and updated products
  2. Contributing to technical discussions during New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings
  3. Managing document control for engineering drawings and work instructions
  4. Overseeing corrective actions, including 8D reports
  5. Handling customer and supplier complaints
  6. Managing internal and external calibration processes
  7. Supporting PPAP and APQP processes

Key Skills & Experience:
  1. Experience using CMM and Faro arms
  2. Background in aluminium extrusion or the automotive sector
  3. Proficiency in Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  4. Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 9001, and VDA quality standards
  5. Strong practical experience with measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and shadow graphs
