Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with SAP
Understanding of EASA, CAA Part 21 & Part 145

Job Description

A great opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to work for an established aerospace company in the Wolverhampton area. Initially on contract this could become a permanent position for the right candidate.

As a Quality Engineer you will be a point of contact on all quality related matters for Aftermarket. You will have to interface and communicate with various functional leads to ensure quality assurance in line with the quality management system and quality policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Ensure Compliance to all relevant regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
  • Provide support to ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Facilitate Audits and Process Walk
  • Trouble shooting and continuous improvement within the area.
  • Facilitate and lead 8Ds/RRCA/DIVES etc.
  • Ensure that VS quality strategy and objectives meet the expectations of the VS.
  • Participate in PFMEA's, MPRs, design reviews and formal Gate reviews
  • Support the daily activities in the Quality Clinic (Triage, containment, investigation and Returning Parts to Suppliers)
  • Provide Aftermarket team with analyses of the performance of the processes against performance requirements and quality of products against customer quality requirements
  • Take ownership of project goals and objectives to ensure project success.
  • Complete data preparation, analyses and reporting
  • Support the team with containment /inspection activities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with measurement, analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • An understanding of EASA, CAA Part 21 & Part 145 is desirable but not essential
