Job summary

Major Recruitment Oldbury are recruiting for a Quality Engineer in Brierley Hill. You will support APQP and NPI in the machine shop and generate PPAP documentation to meet customer requirements. You will review daily scrap data, drive improvements, maintain QOS reports and assist calibration processes.

The role offers a Monday-Thursday 8am-4.30pm (with 3pm finish on Friday) and a salary between £40-45k. You'll work across internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues efficiently, build

Qualifications

• Experience in quality engineering within manufacturing, preferably machining.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP and customer quality processes.
• Ability to analyse data, drive continuous improvement and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support APQP and NPI activities within the machine shop.
• Generate PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements during NPI.
• Assist with 8D and CAR processes to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Review scrap data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Maintain quality metric displays and QOS reports.
• Oversee calibration processes and improve in-house calibration procedures.

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our local Brierley Hill client who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their successful team.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and a 3pm finish on Fridays.

Duties and tasks will include:

• Support APQP and NPI activities within the machine shop.
• Generate PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements during NPI.
• Support customer 8D and CAR (Corrective Action Report) requirements, working with customers and internal teams to ensure effective problem resolution and prevention of recurrence.
• Review and analyse daily scrap data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain and update quality metric display boards and QOS reports.
• Support and oversee internal and external calibration processes.
• Develop and improve in-house calibration procedures and processes to reduce reliance on external calibration laboratories
