Job summary

Major Recruitment Oldbury are recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a local Brierley Hill client. The role focuses on APQP/NPI support in the machine shop, PPAP documentation, and coordinating with customers to resolve quality issues.

You will review scrap data, maintain quality metrics and QOS reports, and oversee calibration processes with internal and external labs. Salary £40-45k; hours Monday-Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 3pm finish.

Qualifications

• Experience in APQP and NPI within a machine shop environment.
• Knowledge of PPAP documentation and customer requirements.
• Experience with 8D and CAR corrective action processes.
• Ability to review scrap data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Experience maintaining quality metrics and calibration processes.

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our local Brierley Hill client who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their successful team.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and a 3pm finish on Fridays.

Duties and tasks will include:

• Support APQP and NPI activities within the machine shop.
• Generate PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements during NPI.
