Job description


We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Quality Engineer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. This role involves working directly on the factory floor, carrying out daily quality inspections, engaging with production staff, and directly interfacing with customers. The position offers excellent prospects for development into a Quality Manager role for the right candidate.

The main duties of the position :
  • Maintain and develop our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
  • Perform regular quality checks using a range of measuring equipment.
  • Address day-to-day quality issues using structured problem-solving tools (8D methodology).
  • Deliver clear guidance and training on quality procedures to production staff.
  • Conduct hourly walkarounds of the factory to spot-check paperwork and parts.
  • Produce and formalize monthly quality reports, including:
  • Customer complaints
  • Quality-related production downtime
  • Cost of quality
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Prepare and carry out full PPAP submissions for customers, including FMEAs and Gauge R&R studies.
  • Act as the main quality contact for customers-professional communication and resolution handling is essential.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • Strong understanding and practical use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards and compliance.
  • Confident in using quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, Gauge R&R.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production quality environment.
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow a fixed schedule.
  • Must be comfortable with a hands-on role based entirely on-site.
