Role details:

The nuclear defence sector in the UK is vital for maintaining national security and strategic stability. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Quality Manager by working efficiently as part of a Quality Team in the delivery of a complex nuclear construction project.
  • Provide assurance that the project quality management system is effective, efficient, implemented, and cascaded as appropriate through the project supply chain.
  • Ensure client and stakeholder requirements are being met, and develop suitable Quality and Life Time Records for project close-out.
  • Ensure suitable governance and assurance of the project, including management of the audit schedule.
  • Manage Quality-related KPIs for the project.
  • Champion Nuclear Safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the project.
Requirements:
  • Experience in applying relevant quality management system standards (ISO 9001).
  • Experience in applying a graded approach to quality.
  • Experience in expediting and effectively closing out routine quality incidents.
  • Experience in reporting and monitoring the supply chain.
  • Experience in compiling Life Time Record documents for project close-out.
  • Effective audit report writing and communication skills.
  • Proven background in a similar role within a highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge and application of scopes of work such as EC&I, HVAC, Mechanical, Construction, and associated standards (desirable).
Qualifications:
  • ONC / NVQ Level 3 (preferably in a related subject) / CQI Diploma, or significant related professional experience satisfying professional registration requirements (e.g., Practitioner Member of CQI).
  • Auditor Qualification e.g., ISO9001 or ISO19443.
  • Lead Auditor Qualification e.g., ISO9001 or ISO19443 (desirable).
