A leading international manufacturer of precision-engineered components is currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join their team at their Carrickfergus-based production facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-established business operating at the forefront of advanced manufacturing and continuous improvement.


The Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all products and processes meet internal and external quality, efficiency, and reliability standards. Working within a highly technical environment, you'll be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and analysing quality defects, both internal and external, and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Leading reduction activities for product rejects across production and customer sites by coordinating actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Developing improvement plans to reduce non-conforming material within the production process.
  • Conducting internal audits and supporting the closure of non-conformances.
  • Managing third-party rework processes, including negotiation of rework terms and working toward root cause elimination.
  • Acting as a key liaison with customers to support complaint resolution, quality issue investigation, and documentation management.


What You'll Need:
Essential Criteria:

  • Third-level qualification in an engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
  • Experience using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Background in a manufacturing or customer-facing technical environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and see tasks through to completion independently or as part of a team.
