Job description

Role: Quality Engineer (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Lancing, West Sussex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm (35 hours per week)
Pay: 18.68 per hour + holiday pay

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join one of our growing clients, a leading manufacturing business based in Lancing, West Sussex, on a 6-month fixed term contract.

The Requirements:

  • ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 knowledge
  • Previous experience in process/product validation, with knowledge of validation principles and practice
  • Experience using quality tools such as OGP Smart Scope, Micrometre, Vernier, Tensile testing, etc
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
  • Strong competency using MS Office tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • High attention to detail and an analytical mindset
  • Good communication skills

The Role:

  • Manage change controls, including gathering impact assessments and ensuring timely approvals and closures
  • Design, develop, and document verification test plans, cases, and scripts to validate product performance, functionality, and compliance
  • Perform risk assessments and ensure validation activities meet regulatory and industry standards
  • Execute verification tests, analyse results, identify defects or deviations, and document findings
  • Document test procedures, results, validation reports, and track issues through resolution
  • Generate relevant documentation and reports to communicate test results and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with product engineering, development, and quality control teams to review requirements and identify improvement areas
  • Promote safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, and morale while ensuring GMP/GDP compliance
  • Adhere to health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Undertake any other task given by relevant stakeholders to support the role
