Job Title: Quality Engineer
We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a provider of design, development, testing, and manufacture of integrated protective systems. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing quality and product development, improving processes, and implementing changes to enhance robustness and customer experience.
Role Requirements – Senior Quality Engineer
- Manage and drive process improvement and continuous improvement (CI) activities, such as Kaizen.
- Review and audit processes and controls to identify improvement areas, implement updates, and ensure process robustness through quality documentation controls (Best practices, SOPs, Control Plans).
- Assist in collating safety, quality, and rate issues to reduce or eliminate risks via FMEA and Control Plan creation.
- Monitor and analyze KPI metrics and OKR data to act accordingly for CI within the value stream.
- Coordinate the build of pre-production parts with planning and production teams.
- Lead specific projects, promote, run, and participate in Kaizens.
- Manage customer experience related to quality concerns and problem-solving (CAPA).
- Fulfill operational requirements set by the Value Stream and Quality Manager.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations.
- Conduct supplier audits and drive improvements in processes, components, and materials.
- Support APQP/NPI projects and activities using lean manufacturing best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher certification.
- Proficient in disciplined problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Degree in Quality Engineering (preferred).
- Experience with PPAP submissions.
- Effective management of change control processes.
- Minimum 2-3 years in a Quality Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Proven record in CI, Kaizen, and Lean principles.
