Summary of Role:
Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, the Quality and Safety Engineer (QA&SE) will be a member of the QESH team and will be responsible for providing quality assurance and health and safety support across the whole business. The QA&SE will principally provide business wide support on quality and safety & health but will also be required to provide a level of support on environment and security matters from time to time. The QA role will cover discussions with customers, setting up of QA systems as required, QA inspections, review and approval of documentation and involvement in designing design and assembly processes. The Safety role will cover risk assessment, systems of work, investigations and the production of policy and procedure. Both aspects of the role will require some travel to site or suppliers as required, the production of documentation, production of metrics and liaison with group companies.
Previous experience of working in a nuclear supply chain or other highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
The responsibilities will cover Capula offices, manufacturing facilities and customers sites; for ensuring relevant regulations and standards are adhered to; for preparing and analysing reports for board meetings and for contributing to and developing business plans, policies, strategies and objectives to ensure continual system improvement and effectiveness.
