How You’ll Make an Impact

The Quality Engineer will ensure compliance with customer engineering and quality requirements throughout the production process, from receipt of purchase order to product delivery. This includes customer-specific quality requirements, procurement, document control, contract review, and job/work order planning. The role requires high concentration and multitasking, reporting to the Quality Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working full-time onsite at our Fife, WA location.
  • Contract review of customer purchase orders to ensure understanding and compliance with quality and engineering requirements, assessing associated risks.
  • Reviewing and approving raw material purchase orders.
  • Reviewing and approving internal work orders for compliance.
  • Collaborating with planning, outside processors, and customers to create and approve controlled manufacturing plans and technique cards.
  • Assisting in implementing and administering QA activities such as risk management, configuration control, training, auditing, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines, policies, and laws.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Collaborates effectively with external and internal stakeholders to meet requirements and ensure smooth quality flow.
  • Works independently, follows instructions, maintains focus, and manages interruptions.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in aerospace quality roles.
  • Proficiency in QMS and AS9100 standards.
  • Experience with quality assurance, job planning, OEM requirements, heat treat, supplier selection, and raw material procurement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Reaching, standing, walking, manipulating materials, and computer use.

Work Environment

Primarily in a machine shop with varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and coolant vapors. Safety equipment is provided.

Compensation and Benefits

Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) with up to 6% company match. The salary range for California onsite is $80,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience. Some shifts may include differential pay.
