Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA), one of the UKs leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers, are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team.

Joining our team, you will

  • Manage and improve the Non-Conformance register and maintain low NCR dwell time.
  • Instigate and participate in root cause analysis, using tools such as; 3Cs, 5WHYs and 8Ds.
  • Youll assist in maintaining Nadcap and our customer accreditations.
  • Perform internal audits as well as quality spot checks of in-progress work.
  • Data handling and analysis for use both internally and externally.

What are we looking for?

Joining us as an experienced Quality Engineer, you will have a strong understanding of quality and inspections procedures. Educated to degree level in a science & engineering discipline or similar, you will be a team player with great organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Day to day youre going to be a point of contact for quality across the business and a key player in meeting business KPIs. Quality requirements in the industry are always evolving, therefore prior experience of quality systems (preferably ISO9001, AS9100, AS13100, Nadcap) is essential. A lot of your role will centre around continuous improvement, with reviewing and updating or implementing changes, giving you an opportunity to take some real pride in your work.

We are unique due to the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location
