Quality Engineer - Amazing Opportunity in Portsmouth!

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer ready to take on your next challenge? TeamJobs is currently recruiting for a proactive and hands-on Quality professional to join a dynamic team within a leading manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and play a key role in product and process quality.

Responsibilities:
  1. Report directly to the Quality Manager and support site-wide quality efforts
  2. Attend daily production Tiered Accountability meetings and take ownership of quality concerns
  3. Actively participate in RPS and RCCA processes
  4. Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities
  5. Drive scrap reduction initiatives in line with COPQ goals
  6. Use Six Sigma tools and methodology to identify defect trends and reduce process variation
  7. Conduct 8D investigations for customer complaints and provide clear, urgent resolutions
  8. Lead yield improvement projects using RPS methodology
  9. Perform internal audits as per site schedule and participate in 3rd party audits
  10. Host external auditors when required
  11. Carry out other quality-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience
  2. Proven background in a Quality Engineering or similar role
  3. Strong knowledge of quality tools, concepts, and methodologies
  4. Experience with Six Sigma, RPS, RCCA, and 8D processes
  5. Confident in leading investigations and driving improvements across departments
  6. Creative problem-solver with a high degree of initiative and autonomy
Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday, from 8.00am to 4.45pm
Friday, from 8.00am to 12 noon
