Quality Engineer - Aerospace (Preferred)
Hourly Rate: £16 - £21 per hour

Our Client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and strengthen the companies Quality Management System (QMS). Ideally, you will have experience in the aerospace industry and a strong understanding of standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.

This role is perfect for a proactive quality professional who is passionate about compliance, continuous improvement, and driving excellence across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review customer specifications and provide guidance on special processes.
  • Monitor and audit special processes (e.g. NADCAP, heat treatment, NDT, coatings).
  • Support the Non-Conformance management process, including root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • Lead and contribute to APQP/PPAP activities, including:
    • PFMEA
    • SPC
    • MSA
    • Process flow diagrams
    • Control plans
  • Develop and update procedures in line with customer and internal requirements.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver internal training sessions; develop and monitor training materials.
  • Oversee and monitor supplier quality performance.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail focused.
  • Competent with standard computer applications.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D / ISO 9001 is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with auditing processes.
  • Familiarity with special processes such as heat treatment, painting, NDT, and surface treatments
