Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is recruiting a Quality Engineer for a manufacturing business to strengthen quality systems and drive improvements across its UK operation.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will plan and lead the internal audit programme, review the Business Management System against ISO 9001, AS9100 and API Q1, and support external audits. You will investigate non-conformances, drive corrective actions and help reduce cost of quality.

Qualifications

• Strong ISO 9001 knowledge and proven internal auditing experience.
• Experience maintaining and developing a Business Management System.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the internal audit programme from scheduling audits to reporting findings and verifying corrective actions.
• Review and improve the Business Management System, procedures and supporting documentation against ISO 9001, AS9100, API Q1 and applicable customer requirements.
• Support external certification and customer audits, including preparation and follow-up.
• Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing actions to prevent recurrence.
• Review quality performance and helping teams reduce recurring issues and the cost of poor quality.
• Preparing and checking quality documentation, including manufacturing records, Certificates of Conformity and material certification.
• Supporting supplier quality investigations and corrective actions.

Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer for a manufacturing business looking to strengthen its quality systems and drive improvements across its UK operation.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll take responsibility for the internal audit programme and play a key part in maintaining and developing the company's Business Management System. This opportunity would suit someone with a strong Quality Assurance or Quality Systems background who enjoys working independently, challenging processes constructively and seeing improvements through.

You'll work with colleagues across Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality Control to ensure processes meet business, customer and certification requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
