Quality Engineer

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to £35k + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a high-performing aerospace manufacturing group. This role will focus on reactive problem-solving, supporting manufacturing units with NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and assisting with FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to NCRs, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support business units with FAIRs, PPAPs, and APQP to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with process improvements, using data-driven insights to improve quality across the manufacturing units.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple sites to resolve issues and ensure consistent application of the quality system.
About You
  • You have a strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills (experience using 8D methodology is essential).
  • Knowledge and experience of FAIRs, PPAP, and APQP processes.
  • A collaborative and engaging personality, able to work effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Ideally, you come from an aerospace background, though experience from automotive or other industries is also welcomed.
