About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join Raytheon UK, reporting to the Quality Delivery Lead for the Weapons & Sensors business area. Your responsibilities include delivering Quality Assurance in line with the Quality Management System and Policy across the W&S business unit, aligning with program teams. As part of the QA Team, you will conduct daily activities and engage with stakeholders across the Integrated Project Team (IPT).

You will ensure quality processes are continuously improved, emphasizing defect prevention, reducing variation and waste, supporting ongoing improvements, minimizing costs, and maximizing customer satisfaction while adhering to procedures and processes. You will support the IPT in driving growth, efficiency, profitability, and inter-company relationships.

Skills and Experience

  • Primary authority on quality matters for assigned programs
  • Communicating with program and functional areas to support business goals
  • Conducting quality audits (product, process, release)
  • Supporting external audits and understanding regulatory requirements (AS9100 & ISO 9001)
  • Supporting customer visits
  • Investigating defects and addressing root causes
  • Closing audit non-conformities and customer complaints
  • Providing quality input for bids on new business
  • Ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Performing First Article Reviews (FARs)
  • Participating in Gate Reviews
  • Maintaining quality records (QPulse)
  • Monitoring and reporting on program quality status
