Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience within a quality discipline, ideally in metals manufacturing, casting, or machining.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and industry-specific quality standards.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical/industrial engineering, materials science, and forging or casting technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring product quality from new product introduction to post-delivery.
  • Leading problem-solving activities using Six Sigma, Lean, and other techniques.
  • Conducting audits and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Overview

Quality Engineer. We are working with a leading global manufacturer seeking a Quality Engineer on a full time permanent basis to join their European production facility. What You Will Be Doing
  • Ensuring product quality from new product introduction through to post-delivery, providing technical and operational support.
  • Leading problem-solving activities using Six Sigma, Lean, and other industry-standard techniques.
  • Managing complaints and escapes, non-conformance processes, concessions, and investigations.
  • Conducting audits (internal, supplier, and external hosting) and maintaining compliance with quality standards.
  • Developing and improving business systems, processes, and risk management practices.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation, reports, and data analysis.
  • Supporting and coaching junior engineers, technicians, and inspectors to achieve full potential.
  • Liaising with suppliers to maintain a compliant and high-performing supply chain.
  • Conducting compliance checks, certification reviews, and standards/specification assessments.
  • Acting as a quality representative in approvals, contract reviews, and change management processes.
What We Are Looking For
  • Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years' experience within a quality discipline, ideally in metals manufacturing, casting, or machining.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and industry-specific quality standards.
  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Lead Auditor (ISO9001/AS9100), or Six Sigma/Lean qualifications (Green or Black Belt) are desirable.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical/industrial engineering, materials science, and forging or casting technologies.
  • Skilled in drawings, tolerancing, dimensional inspection, and metallurgical standards.
  • Proficient in problem-solving tools such as 5Y, RCCA, APQP, MSA, PFMEA, and PPAP.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and project management skills, with a proactive, analytical approach.
