Job summary

Rullion Limited is recruiting a Quality Engineer (Civil) to support QA/QC across the Sizewell C project lifecycle, ensuring contractors and suppliers meet required quality standards. You will review contractor quality plans, participate in audits, and help manage non-conformances to drive quality across the team.

The role demands experience in construction or safety-critical industries, ISO 9001 knowledge, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Higher National Certificate (HNC)/HND or degree in an engineering, science or related discipline.
• Experience in a quality assurance/quality control environment.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and managing quality-related issues.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.
• Nuclear sector experience desirable but not essential.
• IRCA qualification and knowledge of NDT/NDE, welding or Lean Six Sigma is an advantage.

Location: London Salary: £300-£420 per day Advertiser: Rullion Limited Date advertised: 14.09.2026 Job details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer (Civil) to join the Sizewell C team, one of the UK’s largest and most significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will support the delivery of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring contractors and suppliers meet all required quality standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support QA/QC activities across civil construction works
• Review and monitor contractor quality plans and project documentation
• Coordinate and participate in audits, inspections, surveillance and testing activities
• Support the management of non-conformances and corrective actions
• Assist with supplier quality assurance and governance activities
• Review inspection and test plans (ITPs) and quality records
• Work closely with project teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure work is delivered right first time.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles
• Experience working within construction, nuclear, engineering or other safety-critical industries
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to identify issues, drive improvements and promote quality best practices.

Experience/qualifications required:

• Higher National Certificate (HNC)/Higher National Diploma (HND) or degree in an engineering, science or related discipline
• Experience in a quality assurance/quality control environment
• Experience conducting supplier audits and managing quality-related issues
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments
• Nuclear sector experience desirable but not essential
• International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) qualification and knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT)/non-destructive evaluation (NDE), welding or Lean Six Sigma is an advantage.

Pay:

• £300 PAYE or £420 umbrella (per day).

This role is based on a 40-hour week.

This role will involve hybrid, project collaboration and freelance work and will require baseline personnel security standard (BPSS) clearance and screening.
