We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in a dynamic Aerospace MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) environment. The successful candidate will ensure ongoing compliance with applicable aviation authorityregulations (., EASA Part 145, CAA/FAA Part 145), customer contractual requirements, and internal policies. You will lead and support auditing, oversight,and regulatory conformance efforts, ensuring a robust Compliance Monitoring Program that supports safe and effective maintenance operations.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the internal audit schedule in accordance with EASA Part 145, AS9110, and/or FAA regulations.
- Plan, execute, and document internal and external audits, including compliance assessments of operational departments, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to procedures and manuals.
- Assess effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and track findings through to closure.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Safety, Engineering, and Operations teams to evaluate compliance risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Support regulatory inspections and customer audits, ensuring readiness and accurate representation of compliance status.
- Maintain accurate records of audit activities, non-conformities, reports, and regulatory correspondence.
- Assist in the review and approval of company exposition, manuals, and procedures for regulatory accuracy and compliance alignment.
- Analyse compliance data and prepare reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Promote a strong compliance culture across the organisation through training, mentoring, and internal communication.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related field within the aerospace/defence/space manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, FAIR and Root Cause Analysis. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (., ISO 9001, AS9110, EASA/CAA/FAA Part 145) Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and specifications.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. Strong organisational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt and respond to challenges proactively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lead auditor trained
- Experience with QPulse systems and quality management software.
- This position may require travel between StandardAero facilities from time to time.
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, as needed.
