Job description

Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Evesham, Worcestershire

Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client, a global specialist manufacturing business, are on the hunt for a Quality Engineer to join their fast paced, ever-growing business!

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role you are going to be the main driving force for maintaining and improving product process and quality. Required to be a strong auditor and undertake hands on inspection of parts. Needing to have a proactive approach on identifying root cause and implementation of robust corrective actions.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Support engineering in creation and implementation of NPI, DFMEA and PPAP documentation
  • Work with the Supplier Quality Engineer on Non-conformance reporting within the international supply chain.
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and product to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Perform product and process audits against audit schedules and upon request.

Experience or Qualifications –

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or extensive industry experience
  • Understanding and experience of operating Quality Management System to ISO9001 & 14001 standards.
  • Proficient in the use of manual measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers & Height gauges.
  • Knowledge of wet paint application and associated processes. (desirable)
