Job description

A specialist plastics manufacturing company with over 50 years of expertise is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team.

Working within an established quality department sporting state-of-the-art machinery including CMM, vision measuring and laser scanning systems, you will play an integral part in ensuring the highest levels of service are provided to their customers, which range from SMEs to large international OEMs.

As a Quality Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Oversee CMM operations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Operate CMM machines to measure plastic manufactured parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quality inspections and analysis.
  • Create and maintain records and documentation.
  • Management of supplier contracts for machinery and equipment within the department.

To be successful in the role of Quality Engineer, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in Quality Engineering with previous experience of CMM inspection.
  • Experience of quality standards such as ISO9001:2015 OR IATF16949:2016.
  • Experience in Root cause analysis, including non-conformity management.
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of APQP and PPAP.
