Starting Salary: £40k/annum + company bonus

Day Shift Monday to Friday 07:30 - 15:30

Thorn Baker Industrial are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer for one of our prestigious clients in Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with relevant experience.

Our client is looking for a talented individual to join their friendly team.

Quality Engineer Job Details:
  1. Product quality inspection for both internal and external items
  2. Testing all company products ensuring required standards met
  3. Producing & reviewing manufacturing quality plans (MQP)
  4. Reviewing all internal and external quality procedures
  5. Managing non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  6. Arranging third-party inspections
  7. Developing/improving product standards, testing protocols and compliance measures
  8. Resolving customer queries using root cause analysis tools such as 8D
  9. Compiling & maintaining formal lifetime quality records for approval
  10. Supporting lean manufacturing processes and waste reduction.
Quality Engineer Requirements:
  1. Relevant experience/education within Quality Engineering
  2. Great understanding of ISO9001 & auditing
  3. In-depth quality engineering process knowledge
  4. Good planning/organizational skills
  5. Strong decision-making/problem-solving skills
  6. Excellent analytical approach
  7. Knowledge & experience in British Standards within a quality department
  8. Great report-creating and presentation skills up to board level
  9. Hands-on approach, ability to lead by example
  10. Proven technical capability
  11. Positive approach towards work
  12. Ability to work without supervision
  13. Team Player / Adaptable / Good work ethic
  14. Enthusiasm / Ambition / Eagerness for excellence
  15. Full UK driving licence required due to ad/hoc travelling between sites.
