About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our operations - working across departments to analyse data, identify root causes, and implement robust corrective and preventive actions. You'll play a key role in supporting production, solving quality issues, and ensuring that our products consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve production processes through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Analyse and report on key quality metrics including defect rates, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
• Investigate quality issues flagged during production and support decision-making on rework, scrap, or use-as-is.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and manage the calibration system for inspection and measurement equipment.
• Conduct routine checks on route cards and ensure accurate and timely work order closure.
• Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
• Perform surface measurements and inspections during first-offs, in-process checks, and final checks.
• Support supplier evaluation, qualification, and auditing processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other applicable standards.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a quality assurance or inspection role within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and other manufacturing quality standards.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and measurement techniques.
• Proficient in using inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks or projects effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Good PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with MRP systems is a plus.
• Awareness of Health and Safety standards and regulations.
