Job description

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Hillend, Fife - on site

Salary: up to £49180 depending on skills and experience

Responsibilities
  • Liaise / interface with appropriate areas of the business to build and maintain effective relationships in pursuit of improvement opportunities
  • Responsible for conducting Quality investigations and reporting results using agreed processes and identifying trends to support improvement activities
  • Represent the department at local Quality reviews and liaise with the customer when required
Qualifications
  • PCB assembly knowledge
  • The ability to critique and tailor issues and ideas in written reports and presentations ensuring accuracy and clarity of meaning
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in own discipline within Quality and a broad understanding of other Quality related disciplines coupled with Awareness of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards
  • Be experienced in coordinating/ facilitating and influencing large teams for Continuous Improvement
  • NC or HNC qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience and of Trade background - time served in trade discipline

Quality Control Team

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring process conformance over a wide and diverse product range and providing the definition and delivery of improvement plans within the manufacturing environment.

The role will involve carrying out root cause analysis using industry standard methods and managing the implementation of corrective actions with various stakeholders.
