Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting for a dynamic, self-motivated Quality Engineer to work at our customer's site in Derby on a contract basis.

The Quality Engineer is for the principal contractor and is currently undertaking the installation works for the refurbishment of an existing test facility.

Role details:
  • Job title: Quality Engineer
  • Contract length: 6-9 months
  • Location: Derby
  • Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Compile Lifetime Quality Record (LTQR) packs, demonstrating that the installation works meet standards and client requirements, including technical queries, redline drawings, signed ITPs, etc. Conduct quality assurance checks on completed information.
  • Manage the LTQR team, currently with 2 full-time staff and 1 part-time, with potential for team size increase based on project needs.
  • Run weekly meetings with the client to discuss progress and address issues related to LTQR packs.
  • Organise and coordinate site quality walks (monthly or bi-weekly) with the client's quality team to discuss ongoing works and ensure adherence to ITPs.
  • Review construction issue drawings and highlight potential issues to the client via Technical Queries (TQs).
