Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd in Daventry, England, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support internal, supplier, and customer quality issues in a manufacturing environment compliant with IATF 16949.

You will drive root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, conduct audits, maintain control plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to protect quality and safety. Salary £37,000–£38,000 with pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
• Membership of an industry related Professional Body would be advantageous.
• Experience of working in or with Quality Assurance.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing & Goods Receiving teams (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty).
• Identify defect root causes and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly to protect quality and safety standards.
• Carry out/assist with product and process audits.
• Ensure control plans and documentation are implemented and maintained.
• Stop production for unacceptable goods/processes and coordinate resolution actions to restart.
• Ensure all quality activities comply with IATF 16949 requirements.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Daventry

Quality Engineer required for an automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The successful candidate will ideally have an automotive background within quality engineering/ assurance and be local to their site in Daventry.

Quality Engineer Position Overview

• Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing & Goods Receiving teams (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
• Be instrumental in the identification of defect root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
• Carry out/ assist personnel with product and process audits.
• Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented and maintained.
• Stop production in the event of unacceptable goods/processes, identify the resolution actions needed in order to re-start production.
• Ensure all quality activities and processes are conducted in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.
