A logistics company in Bristol is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and integrity of customer products. This role involves managing non-conformities, conducting inspections, and collaborating with the customer's Quality team. A relevant engineering qualification and strong attention to detail are essential. The position operates Monday to Friday, offering a structured work schedule.

Qualifications

  • A recognised Engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience gained using SAP is advantageous.

Overview

Our operation in Bristol is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join the team where you will ensure customer products quality and integrity are always maintained. The role will find you working Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:30.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting into the Quality Manager, you will be a key member of the non-conformance containment team, responsible for ensuring that any non-conformities identified within the customer's organisation are effectively controlled.
  • You will play a critical role in implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensuring that non-conforming stock does not enter the supply chain.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of received parts using a diverse range of advanced inspection equipment, applying first-principle methods while accurately interpreting engineering drawing specifications.
  • Operate on the customer's site, strictly adhering to their internal processes and completing any mandatory training programs as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer's Quality team and liaise with other departments and suppliers as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standards at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
