Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in a quality engineering role or equivalent.
  • Essential knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001.
  • Experience in internal systems audits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Quality Management System supporting BS ENISO 9001, IRIS, UL and ATEX.
  • Investigate customer and internal complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Use structured problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement.

Quality Engineer

Who we are looking for:

The purpose of this role is to champion quality across the business and to support in the maintenance of Quality standards. Supporting the Quality Manager in driving improvement of product quality, the internal QMS and external accreditation. and internal processes and reduce internal and external complaints.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the Quality Management System supporting BS ENISO 9001, IRIS, UL and ATEX accreditations.
  • Investigate customer, and internal complaints and instigate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Use structured problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement e.g., 8D, 5 Why.
  • Support the Quality Manager in the effective delivery and quality assurance goals and standards.
  • Manage and complete PPAP & FAI’S
  • Create control plans, procedures, & work instructions
  • Perform internal systems audits.
  • Perform quality training throughout the company monitor & measure quality performance through KPI’S.

What you bring:

  • HNC OR Equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Essential BS EN ISO 9001
  • Desirable IRIS, UL and ATEX
  • Three years’ experience in a quality engineering role or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills both written & oral.
  • Competent in using Microsoft office applications.
  • Problem solver & decision maker

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week, including a 20-minute paid break.

  • Monday – Thursday 6am -2pm & Fridays 6am-1pm
  • £30,000 - £35,000
