Overview

Quality Engineer – North Lanarkshire | Permanent, full-time, on-site | Half-day Friday

Salary: £45-55,000 (DOE)

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to pass UK security clearance (DV).

We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing site in North Lanarkshire. This is a hands-on role with real influence, combining problem solving with the opportunity to shape quality strategy in a site that has invested heavily in new equipment, automation, and advanced technologies.

We are particularly interested in candidates who began their career in manufacturing or process engineering before moving into quality. This technical grounding is key to success in the role and will be given priority in the selection process.

Responsibilities
  • Leading root cause investigations into product and process issues
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions that reduce the cost of poor quality
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects across production and suppliers
  • Managing audits and compliance to ISO 9001 (AS9100 experience beneficial)
  • Acting as a technical contact for customers during reviews and audits
What we're looking for
  • Strong technical background in manufacturing/process engineering, followed by experience in quality
  • Degree in an engineering or technical discipline
  • Skilled in analytical problem solving, with the confidence to influence outcomes
  • ISO 9001 Auditor certification (AS9100 experience a plus)
