Overview

The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in the outer Belfast area. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong engineering background and a passion for driving quality improvements across internal and external processes.

Your New Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Quality Assurance team to achieve departmental goals. Your responsibilities will include leading internal and external defect analysis and improvement initiatives. Driving reject reduction and non-conformance management across production. Conducting internal audits and ensuring process adherence to control plans. Managing third-party rework activities and liaising with customers to resolve quality issues. Supporting continuous improvement activities including 8D reviews and Kaizen events. Preparing inspection plans, quality standards, and CMM programs. Performing statistical analysis and supporting new product launches with PPAP documentation. Managing supplier performance and maintaining ISO compliance.

What You\'ll Need to Succeed

Ideally you will have a third-level qualification in an engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent experience) and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities and experience in manufacturing and/or customer-facing environments. Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with quality tools and techniques. It would be desirable and a second European is advantageous.
