Overview

Quality Engineer

Salary: £38k-£40k
Location: Andover
Hours: Monday–Friday, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent

Our market leading client is seeking a proactive Electronics Test Engineer to work at their modern manufacturing facility in Andover. You will be primarily responsible for leading product quality in both customer and production related areas which will include containment, investigations, corrections and implementation whilst supporting total preventative maintenance in the development of a continuous improvement culture throughout the business.

Responsibilities
  • To assist with the management systems
  • Developing operational procedures for all departments
  • To understand the manufacturing process, customers and products
  • Maintain, monitor and review the Quality Manufacturing plans and PFMEA's for key products
  • Support the production departments to ensure all control measures are followed
  • Conduct quality spot-checks within the department
  • Direct inspection of work in progress or completed assemblies
  • Product audits to ensure standards are followed
  • Liaise with other departments
  • Support with the implementation of 6S principles
Desirable Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of working/following the ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485, IATF 15949 Standards
  • Problem solving and investigation tools such as 8D, CAPA, 5-Whys
  • Internal auditing to ISO 9001 OR ISO 13485
  • Microsoft Office or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
