Overview

What we are looking for. We are seeking a QC to ensure customer requirements and standards are achieved by providing an effective and efficient quality control service.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quality and label checks in the intake area of the business, record findings and highlight any discrepancies to relevant managers.
• Ensure accurate checking of codes/dates/promotional labels, etc., on the Greenlight Checks.
• Conduct process and hygiene inspections and checks across the site to ensure that the company policies, procedures and standards are being maintained.
• Ensure any product or process test failures are thoroughly investigated with robust root cause investigation and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out various internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Take reference photos to aid in traceability and prove/support with the legal compliance.
• Inspect the quality of finished product and raw material against relevant specifications.
• Communicate quality or processing issues with internal departments and ensure action is taken promptly.
• Work with the team to implement corrective action to improve the quality of the product to within specification and ensure product traceability is followed.

Person specification

• Previous QC experience within the food industry (preferable).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
• Be thorough and have good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and able to follow instructions.
