Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller to perform routine product and packaging checks, ensuring food safety and legality. You will use systems to record data, demonstrate traceability and escalate non-conformances to prevent recalls.

Ideal candidates have some experience in manufacturing or food handling, with full training provided. Work involves varying temperatures and active teamwork in a busy site, with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
• You are the kind of person who works well in a team, thrives in a fast paced environment, and takes pride in completing tasks.
• Desirable: Quality Control and understanding of product allergens; Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks on products and packaging to ensure food safety and legality.
• Record information using relevant systems to demonstrate traceability and due diligence.
• Escalate any non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.
• Perform temperature probes, swabbing, weight and size checks as part of quality control.
