Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller to perform routine quality checks on products and packaging, ensuring food safety and legality. You will record information in standard systems to demonstrate traceability and raise any non-conformances to prevent recalls.

Role involves temperature checks, swabbing, weight and size verifications, and working to minimise losses while meeting customer requirements. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
• Team player in a fast paced environment.
• Able to work in varying temperatures around 8°C and below with full protective clothing provided.

Responsibilities

• Make routine checks on products and packaging to ensure food safety and legality.
• Use relevant systems to record information, demonstrate traceability and due diligence.
• Elevate non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.
• Temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks are performed as part of quality control.

Education

Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP Level 2
