Quality Controller - Dairy Products
Location: Ossett
Salary: £14.40 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM (3-week rotating shift pattern)
Week 1: Monday & Tuesday (Days), Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (Nights)
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (Days)
Week 3: Monday & Tuesday (Nights)

Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality dairy products, is looking for a Quality Controller to join their team in Ossett.

The Quality Controller will be responsible for ensuring all products meet strict industry, company, and consumer standards and will play a crucial role in inspecting products and operating machines to maintain quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out all quality inspections of finished products, including operating machines for metal detection, weight recording, and labelling.
  2. Provide support to the Shift Manager and Technical Department, identifying any issues that may affect product quality or safety.
  3. Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards.
  4. Conduct and lead the night-side taste panel, ensuring consistency in product quality.
  5. Drive a "Safety First, Quality Always" culture within the production environment.
  6. Ensure all machines are functioning correctly and report any machine faults that could impact quality.
Skills & Experience Required:
  1. Experience as a Quality Controller using QC testing equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
  2. Desire to work in a Quality Controller role with a focus on machine operation.
  3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Strong communication skills to work effectively with the team.
  5. Ability to operate and monitor machines to ensure product quality.
  6. Proficiency in Excel, OL, and ICCS to support Quality Controller duties.
