Job summary

Polypipe Limited is seeking a Quality Controller to ensure the production of quality products in line with approvals and customer expectations. The role follows a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern from 7am to 7pm, with responsibilities spanning audits, QC testing of finished goods, raw material checks, and calibration coordination.

You will support certification processes, RMA inspections, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Proven ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
• Good standard of PC literacy, including Microsoft Office packages.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and overtime.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal audits as required.
• Perform Quality Control testing on finished goods in line with standard procedures.
• Test raw materials to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Calibrate test equipment or arrange calibration when required.
• Inspect customer and site returns through the RMA process.
• Assist with type approval of new products and certification processes.
• Support certification body audits and visits by completing required testing activities.
• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping within departmental work areas.
• Support corrective and preventative actions and contribute to risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Assist within the UKAS laboratory and complete all mandatory training requirements.
