Job summary

Myton Food Group is seeking a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller to perform routine checks on products and packaging, ensuring food safety and legality. You will record data in systems to demonstrate traceability and elevate any non-conformances to prevent withdrawals or recalls.

Training will be provided and you’ll work in a team-driven, fast-paced environment. As well as practical checks like temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks, the role supports minimising

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller you’ll make routine checks on products and packaging to make sure that they’re correct from a food safety and legality perspective. You’ll use relevant systems to record information and demonstrate traceability and due diligence on behalf of the site and company, and will elevate any non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.

Your quality checks may involve temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks, and you’ll be working towards minimising and preventing any loss of sales or profit whilst ensuring customer requirements are continually met.

About You

Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given. You’ll be the kind of person who:

• Loves working as part of a team
• Enjoys working in a fast paced environment
• Is happy in an active role and has a good level of fitness
• Is able to work in varying temperatures of around 8 degrees and below (we provide full protective clothing)
• Takes pride in completing tasks to the best of your ability

The following experience is desirable, but not essential:

• Quality Control and understanding of product allergens
• Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Level 2
