Job description

Lead and inspire a team of quality professionals, driving high standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across all quality activities.

Build strong partnerships with internal and external suppliers and customers, ensuring all regulatory and customer requirements are consistently met.

Oversee all non-conformance management processes, including concessions, quarantine, and At-Risk procedures, leading investigations and delivering timely resolution of quality issues.

Deliver comprehensive quality management reviews and reporting, ensuring visibility and accountability for non-conformance management and resolution.

Manage third-party certification approvals and audits, supporting internal system, process, product, and people audits to maintain compliance and excellence.

Collaborate across functions to embed a quality-driven culture, supporting the Quality Manager in senior business reviews and acting as deputy when required.

Maintain and govern quality delegated authorities, ensuring clarity, compliance, and effective decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Quality or Engineering Bachelor's degree or relevant apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. AS9100). Relevant experience in aircraft Quality, Engineering or Operations
  • A logical approach to problem solving with experience applying standard Quality tools and techniques
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels including Microsoft Office suite - experience
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead projects

Desirable:

  • Broad experience of the Air business including key aspects of the product and service lifecycle
  • Knowledge of NAD CAP processes and practices would be advantageous in apply for this role (but not a necessity)
