Job description

Our Bespoke Tailoring team are now looking for an experienced Quality Controller to join their team.

About The Role

In this role you will be responsible for understanding alterations needed and carry out Quality Control of garments and allocating to the appropriate tailor in-house as well as arranging alterations to be sent out externally, organising paperwork and developing a relationship with the external tailoring team.

You will be organising the drop off/completion rail for completed garments to be delivered to the shop floor and when required, assisting the shop floor with the training of the sales team. You will also accurately and efficiently perform fittings on all garments, across a variety of fabrics and styles when required, and carry out basic and express alterations.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

You will be able to:

• Understand alterations needed on a garment and allocating to the appropriate tailor; in-house or externally.
• Carry out Quality Control of garments.
• Offer technical solutions.
• Arrange alterations to be sent out externally, organising paperwork and developing a relationship with the external team.
• Organise the drop off/completion rail for completed garments to be delivered to the shop floor.
• When required, assist the shop-floor with the training of the sales team.
• When required carry out basic and express alterations.
• When required, accurately and efficiently perform fittings on all garments, across a variety of fabrics and styles (e.g. fur, leather, bias cut and technical fabrics)
• With great communication skills, think on the spot under stressful situations.
