Job Title: Quality Controller
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week (Monday – Friday 9am-5pm)
Location: Bromsgrove. Office based.
Description of the Role
As a Quality Controller you will be responsible for all aspects of product quality at Agriline Products Ltd.
You will be responsible for coordinating the necessary activities for ensuring the timely closure of any quality issues with both customers and suppliers.
You will be required to lead and coordinate projects to drive continuous improvement of product quality.
Main Responsibilities
- Investigating root cause of supplier issues and ensuring follow through of timely and effective corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence
- Lead and drive Supplier QA initiatives within area of functional responsibility
- Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Quality Function
- Develop and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with the required industry standards, accreditation requirements and business requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
- Ensure supplier products and processes meet specifications, resolve quality issues, and manage non-conformances
- Conduct supplier audits, drive development activities, and monitor performance
- Manage supplier returns and conduct internal quality/environmental system audits
- Liaise with clients and suppliers on quality-related topics.
- Ensure internal and external quality concern investigations are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
- Support new product launches to ensure Supplier Quality meets the required standards
- Reporting functional Supplier Quality metrics
- Ensure that all quality-focused activities operate in accordance with local health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
- Interface with sales team and customers to ensure complaints are communicated and corrective actions are closed in a timely manner.
- Photograph, edit and upload product images ensuring that every detail required by the customer is captured.
- Deal with customer complaints and help to resolve any issues
Key Skills:
- Practical hands-on approach with a can-do attitude
- Ability to communicate at all levels internal & external is essential
- Extensive knowledge of the tractor market from vintage to classic and modern
- Team player and capable of handling heavy duty parts
- Attention to detail and capable of following tasks through to completion.
- IT Skills to include excel, Sage and Office 365
- Experience required:
- 3- 5 years working within the Mechanical/Ag Engineering Sector
