Job summary

Albert Bartlett in Boston, Lincolnshire, is seeking a Quality Controller for our fresh potato packing site. The role focuses on inspecting raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met and that production staff are aligned with quality expectations.

You will take samples, run basic tests, record results, and report issues to the quality management team. The position runs on a 4 days on, 4 days off rolling shift, from 6am to 6pm, with a £13.17 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Previous QA/QC experience in food industry.
• Understanding of quality management systems and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Document and report quality issues promptly to the quality management team.
• Educate and enforce quality standards with production staff at every stage.
• Assist in implementing quality control procedures and protocols.
• Take product samples and perform tests to assess quality attributes.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and tests conducted.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.

We are currently recruiting for Quality Controller at our Fresh potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off rolling shift pattern, working 6am to 6pm

Salary: £13.17 per hour

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting regular inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Documenting and reporting quality issues promptly to the quality management team.
• Working closely with production staff to educate and enforce quality standards at every stage of production.
• Assisting in the implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
• Taking product samples and performing necessary tests to assess quality attributes.
• Maintaining accurate records of quality inspections and tests conducted.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.

• Previous experience in quality control or assurance within the food industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and food safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about new quality practices and technologies.
