Job summary

THG Manufacturing – Brighter Foods in Tywyn is seeking a quality-focused QA professional to ensure GMP compliance and lead QA checks on site. You will join a fast-paced manufacturing environment, reporting into the Technical Coordinator at a dedicated satellite site.

The role requires strong communication, time management and PC skills, with HACCP/QA experience preferred. Working hours are 4 on 4 off (Days), with company benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• PC literacy and attention to detail are essential for QA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GMP and fabrication audits and report adherence to QM policies.
• Carry out glass and brittle plastic audits and collect micro samples per schedule.
• Maintain QA check sheets, traceability labelling and documentation records.
• Calibrate weighing scales and perform temperature and quality checks.
• Assist in internal audits and issue Certificates of Analysis/Conformities as needed.

Based in Tywyn, Brighter Foods is a key part of our manufacturing network, specialising in the production of high-quality, innovative snack bars and functional food products. THG’s Manufacturing Division operates around the clock across multiple global facilities, delivering safe, effective, and cutting-edge nutrition solutions. This role sits within one of our dedicated satellite sites, where teams work with precision, pace, and pride to consistently deliver outstanding results.

A Bit About The Role...

• Where you'll be based: Brighter Foods Ltd, Pendre Industrial Estate, Tywyn LL36 9LW
• What hours you'll work: 4 on 4 off - Days
• Who you'll report into: Technical Coordinator

What will your day look like:

• GMP & fabrication audits, checking & reporting adherence to QM policies & procedures
• Glass & brittle plastic audits
• Collecting Micro samples as per schedule (Water, Hygiene Swabs, Finished Products)
• Collection, check and filing of all daily production & QA check sheets
• Conduct daily label checks to ensure traceability
• Calibration of weighing scales
• Carry out temperature and quality checks
• Updating and maintaining accurate Quality Management documentation records
• Handling internal enquiries and escalating within the team where required
• Centrally file and archive a wide range of documentation including all, reports, investigations, and other quality documentation.
• Form part of the internal auditing team
• Issuing Certificates of Analysis/Conformities, where required

The right person for the role will have:

• Effective communication skills, listening, influencing and persuading skills at all levels
• Time Management
• Experience working within a food manufacturing environment is desired but not essential
• Flexibility with working hours to meet business needs
• Confident PC skills
• HACCP trained (desired but not essential)
• Quality Assurance experience (2+ years, desired but not essential)
