You Will
  • Carrying out quality control checks on semen collections and lab outputs (e.g. motility, morphology, contamination testing).
  • Supporting investigations into non-conformance events and helping implement solutions.
  • Monitoring and managing lab consumables and reagents to ensure smooth operations.
  • Recording and verifying quality control data using digital tools.
  • Maintaining and calibrating lab equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and biosecurity standards.
  • Contributing to process improvements and supporting automation initiatives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to share insights and resolve issues.
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues to build team capability.
  • Adapting to flexible working patterns to meet operational needs.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in biology, biochemistry, animal science, or a related field.
  • Experience in laboratory or production quality control (ideally 3–5 years).
  • Familiarity with semen assessment, bacterial plating, DNA isolation, and PCR is a plus.
  • Understanding of ISO quality systems and error-proofing methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly across teams.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital data entry systems.
  • Organised, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
